Barnstable Boston Marathon Runners: Results, Winners

BOSTON, MA — The 2017 Boston Marathon Monday featured more than 30,000 runners and 18 of them are from Barnstable. Thomas Deeg, 36, was the fastest Barnstable runner with a time of 2 hours, 39 minutes and 16 seconds. 1. Thomas Deeg, 36 years old: 2:39:16
2. Sarah Simonelli, 41: 3:32:11
3. Tess Dooley, 21: 3:41:16
4. Susan Shanley, 57: 4:01:55
5. Tao Nguyen, 38: 4:17:41

Overall, Kenyan Geoffrey Kirui won the men's race with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 37 seconds. Fellow Kenyan Edna Kiplagat won the women's race with a time of 2 hours, 21 minutes and 53 seconds. Both were running the Boston Marathon for the first time.
