Barnstable Holding Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Get rid of gasoline, rodent poison, paint thinner and more waste that isn't accepted in normal trash pickup.
BARNSTABLE, MA — The Barnstable Department of Public Works and Barnstable County will hold a hazardous waste collection day on Saturday.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, at the transfer station at 45 Flint Street in Marstons Mills. It gives residents an opportunity to dispose of waste that isn't accepted in normal trash pickups. Examples of accepted waste include gasoline, rodent poison, paint thinner and more waste that can be seen here.
Participants must have a current full transfer station sticker. Without a current sticker, participants must show proof of year round residency or residential property ownership in the Town of Barnstable to participate in the collection and pay a $10.00 per visit fee. The hours of the Hazardous Waste Collection are 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
