Barnstable Hosting Virtual Youth Job Fair
Anyone between ages 14 and 18 can participate.
BARNSTABLE, MA — It might not be able to be done in-person, but the Barnstable Youth Commission will host in spring youth job fair despite the coronavirus pandemic.
For the sake of safety, the job fair will be done virtually. Anyone between ages 14 and 18 can participate. Participants will have access to a job board dedicated to local businesses that have positions available for their age group.
Additionally, a limited number of spots are available for the live virtual age group sessions at here. Two virtual sessions on April 28th will take place, one for ages 14-15, and one for ages 16-17.

Participating businesses will be on hand to introduce themselves and offer their input and advice for first time job seekers. For those who take advantage of the job board’s opportunity to fill out an application in advance, businesses will be able to use the virtual sessions as a mini-interview.
Professionals at Mass-Hire will give input on labor laws and how to obtain your work permit, and they will be available for businesses on questions about their compliance and information about other workforce training services they might not know about.
