Cisco Brewers Sold For $23M
The Nantucket-based brewery was bought by a company that owns several craft breweries.

NANTUCKET, MA – A decades-old Cape Cod brewery was recently bought by a company that specializes in partnering with smaller beer brands. Craft Brew Alliance acquired Nantucket-based Cisco Brewers for $23 million as part of a series of acquisitions that will cost less than $45 million, Cisco announced Thursday.
CBA, a public company headquartered in Portland, OR, also bought North Carolina-based Appalachian Mountain Brewery and Wynwood Brewing in Miami, according to Brewbound. The terms of the other two deals were not disclosed.
"From the beginning, we knew that our shared values and complementary interests gave us a platform to grow together," CBA Chief Andy Thomas said in a statement. "Over the past few years, as we’ve gotten to know each of these exceptional breweries and their passionate teams, it became increasingly clear that the future would be brighter for all of us working together as one."
