Cape Cod Officials Create Video Tutorial On Vaccine Registration

Residents have complained the state's online registration for the coronavirus vaccine is confusing, so Cape Cod officials want to help.

HYANNIS, MA — Cape Cod residents, especially seniors have long complained the state's online registration system for the coronavirus vaccine is confusing, sometimes crashes and fills up too quickly. So Barnstable County officials created a tutorial video to make sign-up as easy as possible.

The video featured Bethany Traverse, the health communications project specialist for Barnstable County. In the video, she apologized for the wait times and other complications experienced on the Massachusetts Immunizations website.

"We understand that many of you have spent hours on the site in an effort to get an appointment without success," Traverse said. "Many of our staff members have experienced these issues firsthand in an attempt to get ourselves or our family members an appointment."
