Connecticut Man Drowns In Barnstable Pond
A man drowned while swimming in Hathaway's Pond in Barnstable.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A Connecticut man drowned in Hathaway's Pond Sunday.
Just after 6 p.m., police received a call about a missing swimmer. Police said a Connecticut man in his 30s waded out beyond the swimming area and went under. Rescue divers later found the swimmer in about 20 feet of water.
The man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, where he was pronounced dead.
