Cooke's Seafood In Hyannis Closing After 43 Years

Cooke's, known for its fried oysters, clams, scallops, lobster rolls and more, will close after more than four decades in business.

HYANNIS, MA — After 43 years as a staple seafood spot in the Hyannis community, Cooke's Seafood will serve up its last dish when it closes next month.

Cooke's, known for its fried oysters, clams, scallops, lobster rolls and more, will close Nov. 29. The restaurant's owners the Haidas family in a Facebook post said they were proud to have "consistently served the best in seafood with a friendly smile."

"Our customers' dedication to Cooke's has been a blessing, and we thank each of you for your support throughout the decades," the family said. "We are also grateful to our long time staff, who have always been part of our family. Please join us this fall, so we can thank you in person and say a proper goodbye to a long-standing tradition."
