New Marijuana Shop Opening On Cape Cod

WELLFLEET, MA — Cape Cod is getting another recreational marijuana dispensary, and this one you won't have to drive all the way to Provincetown to get to.

The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission gave the green light for Cape Cod Cannabis in Wellfleet, the last regulatory hurdle the dispensary had to clear before opening. Cape Cod Cannabis will have a soft opening Saturday.

The recreational dispensary is the third to open on Cape Cod, with two others in Provincetown: Curaleaf and b/well. There's also a medical cannabis dispensary in Mashpee, Triple M.

The store is located at 1446 Route 6 at the former home of the South Wellfleet General Store. The parking lot fits just 26 cars, but the dispensary is appointment only. The dispensary will also have a parking attendant to help mitigate traffic.

Appointments can be made on the dispensary's website and items like "Lucid Blue" flower and an assortment of edibles will be available to purchase for those over 21.

Following the soft opening, the dispensary's hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m., on Sundays.
