New Nature Trails Open At Lowell Park In Barnstable
The trail gives hikers a new spot to take a walk in the woods and will feature educational signs marking plant life native to Cape Cod.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A new nature trail opened at Lowell Park in Cotuit, officials with the Barnstable Land Trust announced Wednesday.
The trail is at the home of the Cotuit Kettlers, of the Cape Cod Baseball league. It provides hikers a new spot to take a walk in the woods, connects with the existing trails to Mosswood Cemetery and will feature educational signs marking plant life native to Cape Cod.
Land Trust officials also said maps will be available soon for the half-mile trail, as well as an official sign at the entrance.

The Barnstable Land Trust purchased the land for conservation in 2015, and built the trail with the help of local volunteers.
"We want to give a special thank you to our amazing volunteers, as well as our AmeriCorps and TerraCorps service members," the Barnstable Land Trust said on its Facebook page. "Your efforts not only made this project possible, but helped craft a magical trail so many will enjoy. Thank you for helping us share this special place with the community."
