Patriots Honor Barnstable High School Football Coach
Barnstable coach Ross Jatkola was honored for his "Patriots High School Coach of the Week" award at Saturday's game against the Bills.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable football coach Ross Jatkola was honored at the New England Patriots AFC East clinching win against the Buffalo Bills Saturday. As one of 10 to win the "Patriots High School Coach of the Week" award, Jatkola was awarded with some great seats to watch the game, got to watch warm-ups from the sideline and took a picture at midfield with all 10 of the winners.
Jatkola won the award following the Red Raiders shutting out Braintree 44-0 on Sept. 14. His play calling led the team to scoring on six of seven offensive drives. The team saw big performances on the ground and through the air with senior running back Brian Frieh rushing for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Senior quarterback Nick Wilson led the aerial attack passing for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Following the victory, former Patriot and NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett met with the Barnstable players and coaches and presented the program with a $1,000 donation on behalf of the Patriots foundation.
