YARMOUTH, MA — Live sports have started to come back amid the coronavirus pandemic, but fans won't be allowed at the games. But this doesn't mean fans can't come together in a socially distant way to cheer on the Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics.

The Yarmouth Drive-in will host watch parties that let up to seven people get in one car and enjoy a game from the safety of their vehicle.

The first watch party was scheduled for opening day for the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles at 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Adam Epstein, the CEO Innovation Arts & Entertainment, the company running drive-in concerts, comedy shows, and sport watch parties on the Cape, said he's also excited to host a Bruins-Celtics doubleheader event. This will start at 2 p.m., Aug. 2.

"To hear a cheer to hear people screaming enthusiastically for something, I can’t remember the last time I heard a group of people yelling at the same time," Epstein told Patch.
