Road Closures For Barnstable Road Races
Both the 10K Road Race and the Hyannis Marathon are scheduled for Sunday and will cause traffic delays throughout Barnstable.
BARNSTABLE, MA —Two road races this weekend will cause severe traffic delays throughout the Barnstable area, according to police. Both the 10K Road Race and the Hyannis Marathon are scheduled for Sunday. The marathon will begin at 10 a.m.
The races start and end at the Hyannis Resort and Conference Center and will have an adverse impact on traffic throughout the morning. Motorists can expect long delays in the following areas:
Hyannis:

Hyannisport:
- The intersection of Smith Street and Marstons Avenue
- Scudder Avenue

Residents are encouraged to avoid driving in these areas. Most intersections along the route will be closed for extended periods of time.
