County Commissioner Beaty Comments About the Most Recent Politically Motivated & Nonsensical Online Petition. Says It Is Without Merit

BEATY STRIKES BACK AGAINST RADICAL SOCIALIST CRITICS & POLITICAL ADVERSARIES
With regard to the most recent manufactured controversy by radical Democratic Party operatives and off-the-wall socialists via a politically motivated online petition against me, I must say that said petition has no merit whatsoever.
The fraudulent and illegitimate Change.org petition actually may violate Massachusetts Campaign Finance laws in that substantial funds have apparently been spent against a political candidate (me), and to influence the outcome of the 2020 Barnstable County Commissioner race by persons who have NOT filed as a political action committee (as required by law) nor reported said monetary expenditures (payable to a for profit corporation, ie. Change.org to promote the fraudulent petition in question) to the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance (also required by law).

Also, as I have stated in the past, in this country, we have something called the United States Constitution, which includes our First Amendment Right to Freedom of Speech.
I happen to be an elected public official who frequently asks questions, and chooses to exercise that God-given Right from time to time.

Moreover, in speaking my mind, I am not politically correct and hope others will speak their minds in an equally candid fashion as well.
Since I have done nothing wrong, then I have absolutely nothing to apologize for, and most assuredly will not consider resigning from my position as Barnstable County Commissioner.
Unlike a majority of elected public officials in Massachusetts, I am no “rubber stamp politician” for the various special interest groups who control them.
I am a candid and transparent individual who works for the voters, taxpayers and citizens of Cape Cod and Barnstable County!
All too often, that is what the political rubber stamps and their masters do not like about me.
On a related point, I recently mentioned to my Filipino wife of 26 years that some misinformed person was incorrectly, unfairly, and libelously trying to label me as a “racist.” She could not stop laughing for twenty minutes.
Additionally, I would like to add that with recent socio-political events transpiring in our country as a backdrop, on Cape Cod at least, claims of rampant “systemic racism” by our Cape police departments and other institutions is a false narrative. Moreover, there is no such thing as so called “White Privilege.”
Finally, in this year of 2020, it should be acknowledged that I am up for reelection as a Republican candidate for Barnstable County Commissioner.
With that said, I respectfully ask for the continued support of the voters, taxpayers and citizens of Cape Cod and Massachusetts with this endeavor!
Thank you.
