Chatham Helicopter Crash Sends Two to Hospital
The passenger was transported to MGH with critical injuries.
CHATHAM – Two people were injured - one critically - in a helicopter crash in Chatham Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police found a 2002 Robinson Helicopter (Rotocraft) crashed near the property of 204 Crows Pond Road, said Chatham Police. Two people were trapped in the helicopter, which had crashed on the shoreline and was partially submerged.
Police say witnesses reported hearing the sputtering of the engine and the helicopter had to make an emergency landing.

The helicopter was out of Plymouth Airport and was hired for property aerial photography for a local real estate company, according to a preliminary investigation.
Helicopter had 2 occupants. Both in route to area hospitals. Formal press release will be issued from here shortly.
