Florina Wins People’s Choice for Best Pizza at Boston Pizza Fest
The Beacon Hill Neapolitan pizzeria becomes the first ever back-to-back champion with competition from over 27 pizzerias

Florina Pizzeria & Paninoteca was voted Best Pizza by festival goers for the second year in a row at the Boston Pizza Festival this past weekend at City Hall Plaza at Boston’s Government Center. Florina Pizzeria beat out 27 of the best pizzerias in the North East and around the world at the annual festival.
Florina featured the classics, as well as some of their specialty pies to repeat as winners of the largest consumer pizza event in New England. The pizzeria churned out hundreds of cheese and pepperoni slices, a specialty white margherita pie with fresh mozzarella cheese, tomato and garlic, a porchetta pizza with calabrese pepper and a porchetta pizza with kalamata olive.
“This region is home to so many outstanding pizza establishments and the Boston Pizza Festival is a unique opportunity for everyone to showcase their love for pizza,” said Florina Owner John Cucinatti.

The festival was sponsored by The Dough Connection of Woburn, MA and Catania Oils of Ayer, MA. The two-day celebration showcased pizza acrobatics performed by the Jersey Pizza Boys, a children’s pizza tossing station, pizza making demonstrations by world famous pizza makers and live music and entertainment.
