And we are hoppy to hear it!

Proving the summer season has begun in earnest, the Boston Common Frog Pond spray pool reopens Friday.

The wading and spray pool near the center of the nation's first city park makes this year's debut at 11 a.m., accompanied by an opening celebration.

Opening activities run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and include free treats, a visit from mascot Frog Pond Freddie, entertainment, face painting, books courtesy of ReadBoston, a summer raffle and giveaways.
