Kelley Buck Joins Teak Media + Communication
Helps to Share Great Work of Nonprofits and Socially Responsible Companies as a Junior Account Executive
Teak Media + Communication welcomes Kelley Buck to its team of talented publicists. As a Junior Account Executive, Buck will promote nonprofits and socially responsible companies. Teak Media + Communication is New England’s only B Corp certified public relations firm and has been sharing the stories of nonprofit and socially responsible companies through media and other forms of communication since 1997.
Buck’s background is in book publishing and promotions. She previously worked in the editorial department of Algonquin Books, the publicity department of the University of Virginia Press, and was most recently a part of the publicity team at Simon & Schuster. She brings her natural love of writing, researching and story-telling to the Teak team, as well as an enthusiasm for integrating Teak’s clients and their critical work into the national conversation.“I’ve always loved raising awareness about the important issues affecting our planet and society,” Buck says “At Teak, I will not only get to raise awareness about issues, but I’ll also be able to offer solutions to those issues by publicizing the incredible work of our clients.”Seeking someone with a passion for non-profits and a foundation in media relations, Teak Founder and President, Jackie Herskovtiz Russell, says Buck fit in well. “We are excited to have Kelley on the team,” says Russell. “She hooked us with her passion for reading, learning, writing about social issues and her organized and thorough approach to her work is inspiring.” Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Buck currently lives in Beacon Hill.
