MA's 2 Most Expensive, Exclusive ZIP Codes
There are only six more exclusive and pricey neighborhoods in America, according to this realtor.com study.

This probably isn't music to your ears unless you happen to be someone living in one of these neighborhoods, but two of the country's most expensive and exclusive places to live are right here in Massachusetts. Beacon Hill (duh) and Woods Hole (double-duh) have two of the most expensive ZIP codes in the United States.
Realtor.com went through median listing prices over the last year to find the ZIP codes with the priciest homes. The website did some finagling, which you can read about here, but what they found is that these two places to live in the Bay State have something in common with Miami Beach, Tribeca in New York, and Los Altos in California: They are well populated by the exceptionally rich few.
In the 02108 ZIP of Beacon Hill, the seventh-most pricey/exclusive spot in the country, the median home price was listed at $3.155 million. That's including this gem, which is on the market for a shade under $16 million. It's not including garage parking spaces, which realtor.com says can go for $500,000.

"All the power players live here: doctors, attorneys, guys who work in wealth management and finance," Boston real estate agent Collin Bray told Realtor. "The reason why this neighborhood is so expensive is because Boston is evolving around it. Facebook and GE have offices here, and Reebok just moved their corporate headquarters into the Seaport."
Woods Hole in Falmouth was eighth on the list. Homes in the 02543 will sometimes get bought for $10 million - only for the homes to be demolished in favor of something bigger, Realtor said. There are currently only six homes for sale in this community, but one of them is going for just $440,000. Maybe you can be part of the exclusive crowd after all.

The No. 1 ZIP on the list belonged to Atherton, Calif., which had a median listing price of over $10 million.
