Police: Man Tried to Steal $500 of Seafood and Meat at Whole Foods

A man police say stuffed over $500 of seafood and meat in his bag was arrested on shoplifting charges Tuesday afternoon.Â
According to police reports, a loss-prevention officer at Whole Foods Market stopped the man after watching him conceal various seafood and meat products, totaling $523, in his bag. Two men who were with him, however, fled.Â
The suspect was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250 by shoplifting.Â

- At 10:20 a.m. police responded to 155 Charles St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, under $50.
