Priciest MA Zip Code's Median Listing Is $3.3 Million

There's something about knowing where the priciest parts of your state is that scratches an itch. Either you're wealthy enough to be validated by it, or you're the rest of us and you enjoy fantasizing.

Either way, realtor.com's data team picked out the most expensive neighborhoods in each state, including the most lavish ZIP code in Massachusetts. To the surprise of few, that ended up being on Beacon Hill, with the median home list price of 02108 coming in at a tidy $3,382,008

The most expensive listing as of March 4 was this quintessential Beacon Hill home on Chestnut St. The asking price is $8.995 million. If that's out of your price range, there were some two dozen homes for sale for more than $1 million. Check them out here.

Of course, there's something exclusive about Beacon Hill that goes beyond price. Because so much of the historic neighborhood is protected by strict building codes, it's tough to even buy your way in.
