Several Beacon Hill Businesses to Give 5 Percent of Earth Day Sales to Boston Parks
See which retailers are taking part in the program.

Twelve Beacon Hill businesses will donate 5 percent of their proceeds on Earth Day to support the five Boston parks.
As part of the first annual Give 5% for Earth Day event, any purchase made on Monday, April 22 will benefit the Friends of the Public Garden,the Esplanade Association, the Charles River Conservancy, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, and the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.

Core De Vie, a fitness center and holistic spa at 40 Charles St., has joined the campaign because supporting the parks aligns with their business practice and philosophy, according to a press release sent by the Friends of the Public Garden.
"We are all about holistic health at Core De Vie and greenspace is a very important part of total wellness. First of all, it provides some of the only natural surfaces in a city, and our bodies like that. Also, being in nature can calm your mind... it brings you into the present moment. It's a form of meditation, really" said Ellen Comerford, owner of Core De Vie.

Nearby downtown and Back Bay businesses that are also participating include: BackDeck restaurant, Fajitas and ‘Ritas, Kitchenwares by Blackstone’s, The Lenox Hotel,Marathon Sports, and Cynthia Rowley.

Monday from the campaign will support capital improvements, ongoing care and maintenance, programming and more in public parks owned by the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, MassDOT and the Town of Brookline Parks and Recreation Department.
