Restaurants and supermarkets will be open on the holiday.
Labor Day is observed on Monday, September 5. Here's a handy list of what's open (and closed) during the holiday:
- Retail stores:Â Open.
- Supermarkets, liquor stores and convenience stores:Â Open.
- Bars and restaurants:Â Open.
- Stock market:Â Closed.
- Municipal, state, federal offices and banks:Closed.
- Libraries and schools:Â Closed.
- Post office:Â Closed.
- MBTA:Â Operating on a Sunday schedule.
- Trash/Recycling: Not affected in the South End.
