The work will be done on weekdays between 2:00PM and 6:00PM until October 9.

Posted on: October 2, 2020 - 1:05pm

The Bedford Department of Public Works Water Division will be flushing hydrants to ensure clean, clear water throughout the distribution system. The work will be done on weekdays between 2:00PM and 6:00PM through October 9th. Signs will be set out the day before flushing in each specific area of Town. The second phase of the hydrant flushing program will start on Monday, October 5th along Page Road at the Lexington town line, and run through the abutting neighborhoods over to areas off Burlington Road and up Crosby Drive to Middlesex Turnpike. If you experience rusty water after the hydrant flushing in your area, please let your cold water tap run for several minutes. If the water does not clear up, or if you have any questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at (781) 275-7605, Ext. 4255.
