Bedford VA Expands Vaccine To All Enrolled Veterans

Designated Caregivers enrolled in VA's Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers Support can also receive the vaccine.

BEDFORD, MA — The VA Bedford Healthcare System is expanding vaccine access to all Veterans enrolled in VA health care, regardless of age, and their caregivers.

As of Tuesday, VA Bedford Healthcare System administered almost 18,000 first and second doses of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to employees and veterans.

Veterans should call the COVID-19 vaccination clinic appointment line at 781-687-4000 to schedule their appointment at the vaccination clinic in the auditorium of Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. The appointment line is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, and appointments are available seven days a week, starting at 7:00 a.m. with the last appointment at 4:45 p.m.

Veterans will automatically be scheduled for their second dose in three weeks while in the clinic. The second dose of the vaccine must be administered at the same location.

The VA shuttle service is available between the clinic and the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, veterans should reserve their shuttle seats before making their vaccination appointment.
