Bedford Woman from Hanscom Honored by the New England Revolution
For 37-years, Ms. Briand has served the Air Force in Massachusetts as the only civilian and first woman to hold the position of Comptroller.

BEDFORD, MA - The New England Revolution honored Ms. Briand, Chief Financial Officer for the Battle Management Directorate at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA as the Hero of the Match at the team’s home game on May 21 against FC Dallas.
Briand was recognized during a pregame ceremony as the only civilian and the first woman to hold the position of Comptroller at this installation. During her 37-years supporting the Air Force mission in developing and acquiring command and control, she has been a mentor to more than 500 personnel. As part of the Hero of the Match experience, she enjoyed a sideline view of the Revs pregame warmups and enjoyed the game from the Putnam Club.
The Revs’ Hero of the Match program honors a local first responder, member of the armed forces or individual making a difference in the community at each home game during the 2016 season.
