Driver Creates Possible Hazard, Low Hanging Wires, CO Alarm Scare and More

BEDFORD, MA - The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Bedford Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, March 18
1:25 a.m. - Police received a call from 31 Pine St. reporting a suspicious motor vehicle has been operating in the neighborhood. Officer checked the area and the vehicle was gone on arrival. Caller was updated with the findings.
8:48 a.m. - Caller reports he just went to the stand alone ATM for Bank of America, located at 353 A The Great Road. The card reader you must use to get inside the ATM lobby area appears to be suspicious. He reports it is usually flush against the door jamb, and now it sticks out. He is concerned that it may be a skimming device. Officer reports it does not appear that this is secured properly. He requests notification be made to Bank of America Security to check on it. Bank of America Security notified, and they will respond.

9:09 a.m. - Animal Control Officer received a report from Lexington regarding an animal bite that occurred in Lexington.
10:55 a.m. - Caller from Red Heat Tavern, 150 The Great Road reports a suspicious male near the rear of the restaurant, beside the construction trailers. The man was described as a white male wearing all black with a black winter hat and a blonde beard. This male is texting. Officers dispatched and located Jeffrey Pisano, formerly of Bedford Village, currently homeless. Officer reports he was outside using the free WiFi from Red Heat Tavern.

4:33 p.m. - Police received a call reporting a pickup truck, inbound on The Great Rd., with some lumber hanging out of the back creating a possible hazard. Police stopped the vehicle at Brooksbie Road, the lumber was secured and a red flag attached.
Saturday, March 19
11:24 a.m. - Police received a call from Facilities at 9 Mudge Way reporting a low hanging wire behind the Bedford High School in the rear. Officer dispatched reports no hazard. Eversource notified.
2:52 p.m. - Call from Gray Terrace reporting a carbon monoxide alarm activation, with no symptoms. Officials on scene report this is an ongoing issue, they had a very low reading, and did not find the source.
5:18 p.m. - Police received a call reporting four to five suspicious males outside of 56 Neillian Way smoking marijuana. Caller wished to remain anonymous. Officers dispatched report the males are packing up and leaving for the day and that they did not see any marijuana, all is in order at this time.
