Fawn Lake Update From Bedford
Dam work will continue through the end of November, as such, the trails in that area remain closed.
October 26, 2020
All the dewatering equipment has been removed from the end of Sweetwater Avenue. The area where the dredged material was stored has been dismantled and the DPW crew will be on site to regrade and loam the area for a nice overlook to the lake. Now that the dredge operation is complete, Dredgit and their subcontractor will be working on the dam at Springs Road. The lake has been pumped down about two (2) feet, and the aqua-dam has been installed so that work on the dam can be performed in the dry. Once the top of the muck layer dries out, it will be excavated and hauled off site, being replaced with gravel to form the face of the dam. Dam work will continue through the end of November, as such, the trails in that area remain closed.
