MCC Spring Concerts Conclude with Classical Guitars & Violin
'Music for Classical Guitars & Violin' – an evening of music from Spain, Latin America and the U.S. – 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, in Bedford

A World of Music, Middlesex Community College’s 2019 spring concert series, concludes with “Music for Classical Guitars and Violin,” an evening of colorful music from Spain, Latin America and the U.S., to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the MCC Concert Hall (Building 6) on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road. Admission is free and open to the public.
MCC faculty member Raley Beggs, guitar, will be joined by guitarist Adam Levin and violinist William Knuth (who also perform as Duo Sonidos) to perform works by Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Morales-Caso, Lucas Foss, Joaquín Rodrigo, Manuel Ponce and George Gershwin.
Beggs performs widely throughout the Greater Boston Area as a soloist and chamber musician, with a focus on community engagement established during a recent fellowship with the Community Performances & Partnerships Program at New England Conservatory.

As a member of Duo Sonidos (https://www.duosonidos.com), violinist Knuth has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Africa and South America. In 2010, Knuth and Levin released their debut album, “Duo Sonidos,” and subsequently were awarded First Prize at the 2010 Luys Milan International Chamber Music Competition in Valencia, Spain.
Classical guitarist Levine has been praised for his “visceral and imaginative performances” by the Washington Post. He has performed extensively across the United States and in Europe.
