Police Log: Overflowing Trash, Request for a Taxi

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

May 8

1:12 a.m. - A caller at 16 Bedford Village requested police remove her son, who has been arguing with her since the previous night. Police drove the son to the Lexington line. 

1:59 a.m. - A caller requested a phone number for a taxi. The caller became impatient and hung up.

9:17 a.m. - Jeff Goldburg, of Bedford Executive Office Suites, reported the Dumpster at Thompson Farm overflows, and the trash is coming through the fence onto their property. Police responded and report Goldburg does not want police assistance at this time. He will contact the management office for Heritage at Bedford Springs to discuss it. He will contact police if he needs more assistance.

10:33 a.m. - A person at the police station reported finding a mini Yorkshire Terrier in the road on Hartwell Road near Chip-in-Farm. Police received a call from the dog's owner, and gave him the info to contact the person who found it.

11:01 a.m. - A domestic disturbance was reported at 16 J Bedford Village. 

11:20 a.m. - Police found a purse while on patrol near Shawsheen Avenue at Great Road. The owner was contacted and went to the police station to pick it up. Nothing was missing. 

10:04 p.m. - Multiple callers reported a possibly intoxicated woman walking on Concord Road near Warren Avenue. The woman was found and taken to Emerson Hospital by ambulance for evaluation.

May 9 

9:27 a.m. - A person with the Bedford Housing Authority requested police be present for a meeting with an applicant for residency. The applicant made threatening statements in the past. Police attended the meeting.

12:31 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at 61 Elm St. The school resources officer was notified, and the school was to handle a student absence. Police reported the house was checked.

4:14 p.m. - A dog was reported missing from 17 Glenridge Drive. The dog is described as being 20 pounds, light blond with dark ears. It has tags and is trailing a red leash.

6:51 p.m. - A parent went to the police station to report her 16-year-old son did not come home from school. The teen was found at home.
