Police Log: Man Running With Bike, Kids Reported Ringing Door Bells
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

April 26
8:14 a.m. - A Davis School custodian reported a suspicious car parked in front of the school. Police spoke with a man who said he was a Verizon employee at the school to do a presentation. Police confirmed his appointment with the office.
8:36 a.m. - A car was reported to have hit a pedestrian near 181 The Great Road around 6:45 a.m.

11:04 a.m. - A DPW worker gave police a wallet found at Shawsheen Cemetary. Police delivered the wallet to its owner, a student at the middle school.
2:24 p.m. - A person reported a possible real estate scam. Police investigated and found no crime committed.

4:41 p.m. - A caller reported two people possibly living in a tent in the Hartwell Town Forest. Police found two people who said they were having a picnic and would leave at a reasonable hour.
5:39 p.m. - A caller reported a man was running with a bicycle on Loomis Street near South Road, and the bike may not belong to him since it has clips and the man was not wearing the appropriate shoes. Police spoke to the man, who said the bike is broken and he was running to The BikeWay Source for repairs before the store closed.
8:02 p.m. - Identity fraud was reported on Neillian Way.
8:04 p.m. - A person reported a suspicious man on Hartford Street, who had a bike with him but wasn't going anywhere. Police found the man and took him home.
April 27
9:39 a.m. - A past larceny was reported at John Glenn Middle School.Â
11:14 a.m. - A cell phone caller reported a medical problem in front of Bedford Jewelers. A person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
12:31 p.m. - A caller at 18 Genetti Circle reported a controlled burn advanced past his property onto his neighbor's property, and his hose wouldn't reach that far. The fire was extinguished, after damaging a fence at 25-27 Summer St.
2:41 p.m. - A person reported their purse was stolen while at the First Church of Christ rummage sale.
9:23 p.m. - A hit-and-run accident was reported near 464 Old Billerica Road. Police were looking for a silver Volvo sedan last seen on Burlington Road, heading toward Rte. 3.
9:43 p.m. - A caller reported young people on Genetti Street were ringing doorbells and running toward Genetti Circle. Police spoke with a group of kids who denied any involvement.
