Police Log: Marijuana Reported Growing Along Foot Path
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

May 5
3:03 a.m. - A Shell gas station attendant reported five men filling glass bottles with gas, and spilling gasoline on the ground. The men left after the attendant turned the gas off at the pump. Police arrived but did not find the men.
4:46 a.m. - A 911 hangup was received from 121 Springs Road. A callback revealed from the resident a towel atop a furnace caught fire, but the fire was out. Firefighters reported heavy smoke in the basement, which was ventilated.

11:27 a.m. - An erratic driver was reported exiting Rte. 3 onto Burlington Road. Police did not find the car.
2:45 p.m. - An anonymous caller reported a noise complaint at 79 Fletcher Road. Police checked the area and all was quiet.

7:17 p.m. - An anonymous caller reported an outside fire at 122 Page Road. Police report it is a self-contained fire pit with a hose nearby.
May 6
2:52 a.m. - A caller requested to speak to police about threats made. The threats were made in Cambridge several months ago. Police advised the person on what to do in those situations.Â
9:03 a.m. - A minor accident involving a school bus was reported on Concord Road. There were no injuries and no damage.Â
10:47 a.m. - Following a traffic stop near 36 Hillside Ave., police arrested Josephine Slay of Worcester on a warrant. The car was picked up by a friend, no tow was needed.Â
May 7
12:13 a.m. - A caller reported cars playing loud music at a construction site on Robinson Road. Police found two cars there, and the occupants filming a video for a school project. They finished for the night.
12:54 p.m. - A Starbucks employee at 186 Great Road reported a man in his late 30s has been coming into the store all day to ask customers for money. The mother of the man arrived at the store and said she didn't believe he will leave. Police spoke with the man and he said he would depart for Boston by bus.Â
1:04 p.m. - A resident at 70 Elm St. reported a tree on fire behind the house. Firefighters responded.
4:35 p.m. - A caller reported someone possibly growing marijuana on the foot path of Elm Street and Railroad Avenue. Police went to check the area.
4:40 p.m. - A larceny was reported at 152 Great Road.Â
4:39 p.m. - A caller reported a post office truck that took a turn at the last minute. The person then hung up.
5:24 p.m. - A caller reported that cars were running the red light at the Middlesex Turnpike at Crosby Drive and that it was causing traffic backups. Police observed the intersection and did not report any violations.
5:36 p.m. - A dog was reported lost at 142 Page Road. The lost dog was found.Â
11:10 p.m. - A caller requested a well-being check at CVS at 199 Great Road. The caller's son was headed to CVS in a taxi and requested his mother pay the fare. The caller advised her son has issues. Police report everything in order.Â
