BEDFORD, MA - It's that time of year again, where volunteer positions open up on various committees in town. If you've been thinking about participating in a committee that interests you, now's the time to do it .

If you're not sure what you're interested in, residents are welcome to attend a meeting, learn more on the town's website at www.bedfordma.gov and/or submit your application to be considered. Please click here for the application.

• (1) - Conservation Commission (as of July 1)

• (2) - Cultural Council (as of July 1)

• (1) - Energy Task Force (as of July 1)

• (1) - Historic Preservation Commission (as of July 1)

• (1) - Patriotic Holiday Committee

• (1) - Recreation Commission

• (2) - Transportation Advisory Committee

• (1) - Zoning Board of Appeals - Associate Member

If you are interested in a committee that currently doesn't have an opening that's OK, too. Residents can submit their application so committee members know there are others interested in serving. And, attend meetings to get your feet wet and learn what is going on in the committee(s) you are interested in.
