Water Main Flushing Program From September 29 Until October 9 In Bedford

The Bedford Department of Public Works Water Division will be flushing hydrants to ensure clean, clear water throughout the distribution system. The work will be done on weekdays between 2:00PM and 6:00PM from September 29th through October 9th. Signs will be set out the day before flushing in each specific area of Town. The first phase of flushing will occur along Great Road starting at the Lexington town line, and continue westerly through neighborhoods off Great Road, ending at North Road. As work progresses, the next sections will be posted.

If you experience rusty water after the hydrant flushing in your area, please let your cold water tap run for several minutes. If the water does not clear up, or if you have any questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at (781) 275-7605, Ext. 4255.
