Workplace Safety Summit On May 15

Summit to provide pertinent information about Workplace Safety plans, policies and procedures.

BEDFORD, MA -- Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and the Middlesex Community College Program on Homeland Security present the 2017 Workplace Safety Summit on May 15 at MCC's Bedford Campus.

The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Professionals representing small and large companies, who have responsibilities in the human resources, legal, security, media relations and mental health arenas are encouraged to attend and get pertinent information about Workplace Safety plans, policies and procedures, as well as relevant response and intervention practices designed to minimize workplace violence.

Expert presenters and panelists will:
• Demonstrate - through case studies - where there is potential exposure and risk to your entity and how to avoid this exposure
• Discuss the role of a Threat Management Team (“TMT”) in minimizing and/or preventing workplace violence from occurring at your workplace
• Provide attendees with tools to create a workplace safety program or evaluate an existing program when they return to work.
