40 Percent Of Belmont Residents Received At Least 1 Vaccine Dose

Nearly three-quarters of Belmont residents over age 75 have received both doses, according to the state's data.

BELMONT, MA — More than 1,500 of Belmont's oldest residents have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state’s data. Roughly a quarter of Belmont residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 20 percent last week.

Roughly 16 percent of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Sixty-five percent of residents ages 65 to 74 are fully vaccinated, and 18 percent in that age group have received just their first dose.

Belmont reported 34 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "green" zone.
