Arlington-Belmont Crew Coach Resigns Amid Allegations of Student Theft: Report

Club members were accused of stealing clothing from vendor tents at regatta events.

BELMONT, MA — A veteran Arlington-Belmont crew coach has resigned after allegations surfaced of student thefts at regatta events including the Head of the Charles, reports the Arlington Advocate.

According to the report, which cites an email sent to the Arlington-Belmont crew community, longtime varsity boys crew coach Mark Grinberg resigned from his position on Oct. 29 after the allegations came to light. The Advocate also reported that club members are accused of stealing clothing from vendor tents at events.

The AB Crew's Board of Directors told the Advocate that they were in the process of investigating the facts regarding the situation. Patch reached out to AB Crew's Board of Directors, but they were not immediately available for comment. We'll let you know when we hear back.
