Belmont Community Outreach Meetings Planned For Proposed Pot Shop

BELMONT, MA — Belmont has two community outreach meetings planned for this month for two different proposed marijuana shops in town.

The first meeting will be Thursday at 6 p.m. on Zoom for a proposed recreational marijuana shop at 768 Pleasant Street in Belmont. The company, Mint Retail Establishment, will host the meeting and answer resident questions about the business, zoning and the shops intentions in the community.

Mint Retail Establishment will hold a second community outreach meeting in September to field more resident feedback.

A different company, Calverde Naturals, is hosting its own community outreach meeting on July 23. Calverde Naturals is also planning on opening a recreational marijuana shop on Pleasant Road — the proposed location is 1010 Pleasant Street in Belmont.

The meeting will be on Zoom or over the phone at 7 p.m. on July 23.
