Belmont Helps With Homebound Vaccine Rollout

The town is working to identify people in the community who would be eligible and interested in a homebound vaccine.

BELMONT, MA — Belmont is helping the state get homebound residents vaccinated and trying to identify those people in Belmont and see if they are interested in a COVID-19 vaccine.

The town is offering a survey to identify homebound Belmont residents as the state expands vaccine eligibility. To qualify as a homebound resident, you must have some degree of mobility impairment that prevents you from being able to safely get the vaccine elsewhere.

"We are working closely with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to advocate for additional doses of the vaccine specifically for our most vulnerable homebound residents," said the Belmont Board of Health.
