Belmont Running Back Named a Patch 'Player of the Week'

BELMONT, MA – We're only two weeks into the football season, but some athletes have already emerged as standouts on the gridiron.

Veteran high school sports reporter Bob Holmes dropped his list of Patch players of the week Monday, and Belmont's senior running back Ben Jones made the cut.

Holmes highlighted the senior's dominant performance in the Marauders' commanding win over Medford:

Ben Jones, Belmont -- In a 34-6 win over Medford, the senior running back had 334 yards on 19 carries and scored all five touchdowns for the Marauders.
