Belmont Scouts Charge Rapids and Fly Fish in Deerfield MA

Courage in whitewater is balanced by patience in the fishing hole

Scout leader Dan Carpenter taught Jake Matias the finer points of fly fishing on the Deerfield River along the Mohawk Trail. Scouts can earn the fly fishing merit badge by learning how to select flies, tie knots, cast accurately, and of course, catch a fish. For more information, visit www.Troop304.org.
