Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston closes out spectacular 50th Anniversary Summer Season with The Music Man from August 2-12. The multiple Tony award-winning musical will run for 8 performances (including 4 matinees) at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington St., Waltham, MA. The Music Man tells the tale of a charismatic con man who brings hope to a small town in Iowa by selling dreams of a boy’s band.
Reagle Music Theatre’s 50th Anniversary production of The Music Man features a full cast of 54 performers of all ages from Boston, New York and across the country, starring Mark Linehan as “Harold Hill” and Jennifer Ellis as “Marian Paroo," and featuring Belmont's own Alyssa and Anelise Allen. Produced by Robert J. Eagle; Directed and Choreographed by Susan M. Chebookjian, who will restage the original Broadway and film choreography by Onna White; Music Direction by Dan Rodriguez.

Sisters Anelise and Alyssa Allen are Belmont natives and have honed their acting and performing skills on stages across the Boston area:
Anelise Allen is a 2018 graduate of Belmont High School. She is thrilled to return to Reagle Music Theatre for the company's 50th season, after having played the role of “Amaryllis” in Reagle’s last production of “Music Man” in 2010. Other Reagle credits include: “Anything Goes”, “42nd Street”, “Joseph… Dreamcoat” and “ChristmasTime”. Anelise has been involved in the Reagle Youth Theatre Workshop (educational programs) for ten years starting out as a young camper to becoming a staff member in recent years. During her time at Belmont High School, Anelise participated with the Performing Arts Company in several productions, but loved performing as a cast member in the annual High School musicals. Anelise performed the roles of Velma Kelly in “Chicago” and Violet Newstead in “9 to 5” at Belmont High School. She was also a featured dancer in “Anything Goes” and “Urinetown” at BHS. Anelise has also performed with several community theaters including Belmont Dramatic Club, Arlington Friends of the Drama (AFD Theatre), Colonial Chorus Players, Weston Friendly Society and ACTS. Other favorite roles include Fastrada (Pippin), Helen/ Dance Captain (Bye Bye Birdie), Brigitta (Sound of Music), Chava (Fiddler On the Roof) and Jojo (Seussical), Fagin’s Gang and Bet’s understudy (Oliver!), Toreadorable (Gypsy!), Fall Down Girl and Dancer (Meet Me In St. Louis) and Snow Child (Carousel). At the 2012 EMACT festival, Anelise performed in an original play “The Dark of the Flame”, originating the role of Malka. Anelise has previously studied dance at The Dance Inn and was a member of the Youth Intensive the Legacy Dance Company.
Alyssa Allen is a rising 11th grader at Belmont High School and has been a part of the Reagle Youth Theatre Workshop for the past ten years. Alyssa has been in several shows with many different theater companies throughout the Boston area. Some of her favorite roles include Gertrude Mcfuzz (Seussical), Fiona (Shrek), Ethel (Footloose), Billy’s Girl/Featured Dancer (Chicago), Sally Brown (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown), Suzie (Bye Bye Birdie), Innkeeper (Fiddler on the roof), Fairy Godmother (Cinderella), Ensemble (Meet Me in St.Louis) ,Pink Lady (Grease), Caroler/Kid Ensemble(White Christmas), Rondi (Sideway Stories from Wayside School), Hula Hoop Girl (Gypsy), Fagin's Gang (Oliver), Marta (The Sound Of Music) as well as many more shows with groups such as Colonial Chorus Players, Metrowest Family Theater and Watertown Children's Theater. Alyssa is also a part of the Chamber, Acapella, Jazz and Madrigal singing groups at her school.
