Belmont's Hollingworth 5 & 10 To Reopen
The store is planning a grand reopening for Aug. 18.
BELMONT, MA — Crafty Belmontonians have news to celebrate as Hollingworth 5 & 10 announces its plans to reopen.
The staple Belmont store donned a sign on its front door on Thursday that read, "Grand reopening, August 18 @ 11 a.m." The sign also said the store is under new ownership. It is unclear who the new owners of Hollingworth are — Patch could not reach the store for comment on Thursday.
The grand reopening announcement comes after the community feared the store was closing for good in June. A Hollingworth merchandiser, Liz Dally, had posted on a Belmont community Facebook page that the shop was closing due to the impact of COVID-19 closures. Shoppers and community members flooded the post with nostalgic memories of their times in the store.
