BELMONT, MA — A quiet neighborhood in Belmont was transformed into a Hollywood film set with Captain America himself roaming the streets. That's right, Chris Evans — the pride of Sudbury — filmed scenes in town Friday morning, drawing crowds. Evans traded in his "Avengers" shield for a briefcase for his newest project, the Apple TV mini-series "Defending Jacob."

Evans plays the Middlesex County District Attorney in the mini-series. Marian Ryan is currently the real Middlesex County District Attorney. Evans filmed in Belmont earlier this week and was set to stay continue filming through Monday. Crews set up on Belmont Hill's quiet Ivy Road, with curious onlookers nearby.

Evans plays the father of a 14-year-old boy, Jacob, accused of murder. Evans isn't the only star on set, the actor playing Jacob is Jaeden Martell who starred in the horror movie “It." Jacob's mother is also played by Michelle Dockery of "Downton Abbey."
