As of Tuesday morning, areas impacted are expected to see total rainfall amounts of two to four inches. Locally higher amounts are possible where bands of heavy rain move across the same areas.
With the heavy rains, officials say there is the potential for flooding. Areas with poor drainage, as well as low-lying areas are the biggest threat. Smaller rivers and streams with fast response times are also susceptible to flooding due to rapid runoff from intense rainfall rates.
