After a sunny, beautiful weekend, heavy rain will likely hit Belmont Monday.

The rain will start in the afternoon and last through the night.

Here’s the latest forecast:

• Sunday: Mostly sunny. High 82. 10 mph winds. High of 82 degrees, low 58.
• Monday: Afternoon showers lasting through the night. Rain could be heavy at times. High 64, low 58.
• Tuesday: Scattered showers in the afternoon. High 83, low 65.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 79, low 57.
