May 21: Powers Community String Orchestra

The Powers Community String Orchestra for adults performs on Thursday, May 21, 8:00 pm, at All Saints' Church.

Adult musicians from the Powers Community String Orchestra at Powers Music School will perform their spring concert on Thursday, May 21, at 8:00 p.m., at All Saints’ Church, 17 Clark Street, Belmont. This event is free to attend.

If you’ve never seen the Powers Community String Orchestra perform yet, then definitely plan to attend this concert. Conductor Channing Yu has brought together some of the most talented adult musicians in the area who are passionate about the pieces they perform and the community of musicians they have built. The program will include Johann Sebastian Bach: Concerto for Violin and Oboe in C Minor, BWV 1060R, Peter Warlock: Capriol Suite, and Antonin Dvořák: Serenade for Strings with guest artist Ruth McKay, harpsichord.
