Middlesex Community College has a plan in place for the Fall 2021 semester to get students back on track with their academic goals. As part of the Virtual Open House – Summer Series, Middlesex will host a session on New Students – Get Ready for Fall! at 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 30. Accepted and prospective students and their families will learn about MCC’s flexible course schedules, accessible resources, affordable tuition and much more!

With sessions on a variety of subjects – hosted by experts throughout the college – participants can choose what they want to learn about most at Middlesex. Representatives from departments such as Admissions, Student Accounts and Career Services will talk about ways accepted and prospective students can set themselves up for success from day one at the college.

To receive an overview of the admissions and enrollment process, a session called Your Steps to Enrollment at Middlesex will guide students through admissions and registration – and all the steps in-between. In a session on Course Placement, participants can better understand MCC’s Multiple Measures and English and Math Self-Placement process.

Participants can learn more about MCC’s Libraries to learn about all of the resources and services that can help students succeed at Middlesex as they prepare for the upcoming semester. There will also be sessions offered on Tutoring, Academic Advising and Disability Services to make new students aware of the assistance that is available to them.

While Career Services will go over a tool they use to help students identify suitable careers based on their values, personality, leisure and work interests and skills, Student Accounts will provide information on paying for college.

The event will use the software – SCHED – to provide a dynamic virtual experience. After registering for the Open House, participants will receive an email from SCHED providing them with instructions to sign-up for their preferred sessions.

A previous event entitled “How to Make College Affordable” occurred earlier in June. Visit www.middlesex.mass.edu/openhouse/ to stay updated on and to register for the upcoming and future events.
