Vacancies On Two Belmont Committees

BELMONT, MA — Belmont's Select Board is seeking applicants to fill vacancies on two of it's committees. The Economic Development Committee and Long Term Capital Planning Committee both have spots open.

The Role of the Belmont Economic Development Committee (BEDC) is to develop implement, and update the recommendations in the Belmont Business Strategy, in conjunction with town staff and departments. Applicants should have professional expertise in commercial real estate financing, development, law, site selection, marketing, technology or other suitable experience.

The Long Term Capital Planning Committee assists the Town Administrator in the preparation and an annual review of a long term capital improvement program. The Committee makes recommendations on long term capital expenditure requests from Town boards and departments.

All committee members are appointed by the select board but must fill out an application to be considered. Applications can be found online.
