What's Open, Closed in Belmont on December 26
Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, but many municipal offices and public services are closed the day after Christmas.
BELMONT, MA — Christmas is just a few short days away. While the holiday will be celebrated on a Sunday this year, many municipal offices and public services are closed on Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
Under state law, all holidays falling on a Sunday are observed on the following Monday. However, retail establishments are allowed to operate the day after Christmas.
