Boston Hits 30-Year High for Voter Registration; Nearly 50k Vote Early

Something about this Hillary Clinton-Donald Trump election seems to have people extra-engaged.

BOSTON, MA — Divisive and difficult-to-watch as the 2016 presidential campaign has often been, one silver lining appears to be an uptick in voter engagement, at least here in Boston.

According to the city's elections department, Boston has more registered voters this year than it has at any point over the past three decades.

Just take a look at these numbers, provided on Election Day Eve by the city:
